Pick your region, not just a venue
Because of the kosher + chuppah requirement, the region matters more than any single villa. The original shortlist is still there, but Venues & Destinations now also includes hidden Italian lakes, Montenegro, Istria, Provence hamlets, Cilento, Lake Ohrid, Lake Bohinj and the Albanian Riviera. Treat kosher, rabbi, chuppah and final pricing as verification items unless a source explicitly confirms them.
Lock catering and your rabbi before the venue deposit
Kosher catering in Europe is done by a small number of traveling companies and needs the longest lead time of anything on this list — for a full kosher wedding some caterers ask for 12–18 months notice. Confirm a kosher caterer and your officiating rabbi can both work at a venue before you put down a deposit on it.
Build the "stay together" weekend
Aim for a villa or masseria with enough bedrooms for your closest guests, plus a walkable cluster of budget hotels or Airbnbs for the overflow — so nobody needs a car to get to the pool party. Capacity notes for exactly this are on each venue card.
Start the moodboard now, decide later
